Wondering what Energy Healing is? Also known as Energy Medicine, it works with the energy systems of the body, with the goal of creating harmony between the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of our wellbeing. The foundation of Energy Healing can be seen in many Eastern cultures; they recognize energy as the life force which flows through us and connects us to other beings and influences our health and mood. In Chinese and Japanese culture, it is called Ki or Qi (pronounced: chi) and in India it is known as Prana.
Currently, Western research in Quantum Physics recognizes that the atom is 99.99% space, or potential energy! At a sub-atomic level, not only do our bodies consist of and run on energy, but Quantum Field Theory is now studying an omnipresent field of energy throughout the Universe – everything is energy! At a fundamental level, we experience energy exchange in simple interactions, whether we are in the same place or not! Imagine talking on the phone with a friend across the world; we ‘feel connected’ to one other because we are still sharing energy, even from far away.

The Flow
In this same way, we can tune in and intentionally influence the flow of energy in and around ourselves. Practices such as Qigong and Yoga, or bodywork such as Acupuncture, Reiki, or Reflexology all work to promote wellness and are becoming more widely recognized in Western culture as well. The Emotion Code and Body Code methods work to restore balance to the body by releasing energies which have become trapped and then disrupt our natural flow, causing dis-ease.
While Western medicine is necessary in acute care, its focus has historically been on the alleviation of symptoms occurring within the physical body. Energy Healing looks at health holistically and is primarily interested in the underlying imbalances which may be causing dis-ease. The Emotion Code and Body Code methods can help with everything from feeling stressed or anxious, to different fears or trouble sleeping, and even old injury hurts or improving our relationships. It is also safe for children and animals!
